The princess of Alt-Pop, RIELL, is an up-n-coming underground sensation.
Beloved by her fans for her insane vocals and raw authenticity in her songwriting.
RIELL is a rising star within the alt-pop world. Canada-born, RIELL voices her obsession with hardship, self-exploration, and the darker side of the mind through haunting vocals, catchy hooks, and insightful lyrics. Creating a one-of-a-kind style of pop/alt-pop, she is compared to greats such as Halsey, Rihanna, and Adele. RIELL is currently releasing her 18-song debut album, HYMNS FOR THE BITTER, as three EPs of six songs each, detailing a villain’s origin story. The album, set to release in early 2025, is brought to life through the stories portrayed across 14 cinematic vignettes, a 10+ minute interactive video game experience, and four full music videos.
With a current meteoric rise on social media, garnering over 20 million views every month, RIELL is on the path to international stardom. She has already captivated over 1.5 million listeners on Spotify alone, and with over 500 million lifetime streams of her work, the anticipation continues to build. Starting out as an EDM topliner, releasing major tracks with industry heavyweights such as Gabry Ponte, TheFatRat, and Blasterjaxx, she has now transitioned to focus on her own independent artistry. This transition has been received exceptionally well by both critics and fans. RIELL placed second in the prestigious International Songwriting Competition (ISC), just behind the acclaimed David Kushner, showcasing her exceptional songwriting talent. Furthermore, she has been recognized as a prominent songwriter, earning an invitation to the prestigious Antisocial Songwriting Camp.
Her vocals and songwriting have earned her numerous accolades, including a Western Canada Music Award for Electronic Artist of the Year and the Grand Prize in the John Lennon Songwriting Competition. She also won first prize in the USA Songwriting Competition in the Dance/Electronic category, and received Honorable Mentions in the International Songwriting Competition and Unsigned Only. RIELL has an extensive music background, having completed her Grade 10 RCM for piano as well as a Bachelor of Music in Voice.
Recently, she partnered with N60° MGMT, securing her status as an independent artist and enabling her to take on a bigger stage as her music grows. For 2025, RIELL aims to begin touring after a hiatus since the pandemic. Previously, her energetic live show has taken her on three international tours spanning Europe, Africa, Asia, and Canada.
